The Lehigh Valley Audubon Society is inviting you sign enroll your child in the Breeding Bird Count for Kids, which will teach youngsters aged 8 to 15 on how to identify common birds in Allentown's parks.
The bird count is scheduled for Saturday, June 17, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The fee is $8 per child.
The Audubon Society is joining Muhlenberg College in teaching children how to use binoculars for bird-watching and to become citizens scientists by counting different and numbers species of breeding birds.
