This is a great time to go birdwatching. The Lehigh Valley Audubon Society has arranged several field trips for next weekend so you can catch up on migrating birds and new arrivals.
SATURDAY, APRIL 25. A beginner's bird walk is scheduled for the Monocacy Nature Center in Bethlehem. Meet at the parking lot at Illicks Mill Road at 8 a.m. Trip leaders will be Sue Mahan and Stephen Kloiber. Illicks Mill Road is located just off Center Street, south of Route 22.
SATURDAY, APRIL 25. A field trip is planned for the Lehigh Parkway in Allentown. Meet at the the Tilghman Square parking lot, near (where else!) the Red Robin restaurant, just west of Route 309, at 7:30 a.m. The trip leader will be Barbara Malt.
SUNDAY, APRIL 26. A third field trip next week is to be conducted at the Bethlehem Boat Club area along the Lehigh Canal in Bethlehem Township. Meet at the Park & Ride lot at the William Penn Highway exit of Route 33, just south of Route 22, at 7:30 a.m. The trip leader will be Adam Smith.
