Here are the Lehigh Valley bird sightings for the week ended February 5. The list was compiled by Dave DeReamus, of the Eastern PA Birdline, which is sponsored by the Lehigh Valley Audubon Society.

Upper Mount Bethel Township, Northampton County
(along River Road at Shawnee Drive)
Barrow's Goldeneye, 1 from January 25 to at least February 3 (a female).

Riverton, Northampton County
Redhead, 1 on January 30 and January 31.

Martins Creek power plant, Northampton County
(at the boat launch)
Spotted Sandpiper, 1 from January 5 to at least February 1.

Lower Mount Bethel Township, Northampton County
(along Miller Road)
Lapland Longspur, 1 on January 30.

Plainfield Township, Northampton County
(at the Grand Central landfill)
Thayer's Gull, 1 on January 30 (a second-year bird).
Glaucous Gull, 1 on February 1 (adult).
Iceland Gull, 2 on January 30 (1 first-winter bird; the other, a second-winter bird) on 3 on February 1 (2 first-winter, 1 adult); 1 on February 2 (first-winter); 2 on February 4.

Beltzville State Park, Carbon County
Long-tailed Duck, 7 on February 4.

Female Baltimore Oriole
Fogelsville Quarry, Lehigh County 
Redhead, 1 on February 4.

Mertztown, Berks County

Lapland Longspur, 1 on February 2.
Snow Bunting, 2 on February 2.

Green Lane Reservoir, Montgomery County
Baltimore Oriole, 1 on January 31 and February 2 (a female seen at a private feeder near the reservoir).

Tinicum Township, Bucks County
(along Tory Road, just east of Wormansville Road)
Mountain Bluebird, 1 from December 20 to at least February 2. The bird is being seen on private property. View from the road; do not enter private property.
