The Bethlehem Township Board of Commissioners is preparing to review a developer's plan to build 265 houses at Green Pond Marsh, which the Audubon Society says is an "Important Bird Area."
The meeting is tentatively scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, August 18, at the township building on 4225 Easton Avenue, according to Save Green Pond, the organization trying to preserve the marsh's ecology. The meeting is open to the public.
Traditions of America, a developer of high-end adult housing for people aged 55 and older, wants to build on land that it says is outside the wetlands of the marsh. The developer apparently will be on hand to present its plans at the commissioners' meeting.
