Lehigh Valley bird sightings for February 13

Here are the Lehigh Valley bird sightings for the week ended February 13. The list was compiled by Dave DeReamus, of the Eastern PA Birdline, which is sponsored by the Lehigh Valley Audubon Society.

Brodheadsville, Monroe County
Pine Siskin, approximately 100 through February 8 at a private feeder.

Portland, Northampton County
(From the Portland footbridge)
Glaucous Gull, 1 on February 8.
Iceland Gull, 1 on February 8.

Lower Mount Bethel Township, Northampton County
Rough-legged Hawk, 1 on February 8 (a dark morph seen along Miller Road).
Lapland Longspur, 1 through February 7 along Miller Road.

Belvidere, New Jersey
Redhead, 4 on February 6; 5 on February 8.

Martins Creek PPL Power Plant, Northampton County
Eastern Phoebe, 1 through at least February 8 at the boat launch.

Plainfield Township, Northampton County

Iceland Gull, 1 on February 7.

Easton, Northampton County
Barrow's Goldeneye, 1 through at least February 12 (a female, viewed from the Autogrille Deli just north of Easton).
Redhead, 4 on February 12.
Iceland Gull, 1 on February 8 at the "Forks of the Delaware."

Williams Township, Northampton County
Harris's Sparrow, 1 through February 13.
"Gambel's" White-crowned Sparrow, 1 thorough February 13.
Also seen: Red-shouldered Hawk, and Field and Savannah sparrows.

Bethlehem, Northampton County
Peregrine Falcon, 1 on February 8.

East Allen Township, Northampton County
Snow Bunting, several seen on February 8 along Arrowhead Road.

Beltzville State Park, Carbon County
Rough-legged Hawk, 1 on February 7 (a light morph).

New Tripoli, Lehigh County
Rough-legged Hawk, 1 on February 8 (a light morph, seen along Bausch Road).

Lake Muhlenberg, Lehigh County
Redhead, 2 on February 6.

Gilbertsville, Montgomery County
Bullock's Oriole, 1 through February 8 along Oberholtzer Road.

Also the Lehigh Valley area
Bald Eagles, Winter Wrens and Pine Siskins were reported at several sites during the past week.
