Lehigh Valley bird sightings for February 6

Here are the Lehigh Valley bird sightings for the week ended February 6. The list was compiled by Dave DeReamus, of the Eastern PA Birdline, which is sponsored by the Lehigh Valley Audubon Society.

Martins Creek PPL Power Plant, Northampton County
Red-breasted Merganser, 1 on February 4.
Eastern Phoebe, 1 through February 1 (at the boat launch).

Easton, Northampton County
Barrow's Goldeneye, 1 through February 2 (a female; viewed from the Autogrille Deli access just north of Easton).
Redhead, 2 on January 31.
Iceland Gull, 1 on February 1 at the "Forks of the Delaware."

Williams Township, Northampton County
Harris's Sparrow, 1 through February 6.
"Gambel's" White-crowned Sparrow, 1 through February 6.

New Tripoli, Lehigh County
Eastern Towhee, 1 on February 4 (at a private feeder).
Fox Sparrow, 1 through February 6 (at a private feeder).

Allentown, Lehigh County
Redhead, 1 through February 3 at the Dorney Park pond.

Gilbertsville, Montgomery County
Bullock's Oriole, 1 through February 5 along Oberholtzer Road.

Lake Nockamixon, Bucks County
Red-shouldered Hawk, 1 on January 31.

Pine Siskins were reported at several sites throughout the Lehigh Valley area this past week.
