Here are the Lehigh Valley bird sightings for the week ended May 12. The list was compiled by Dave DeReamus, of the Eastern PA Birdline, which is sponsored by the Lehigh Valley Audubon Society.

Red-necked Grebe, 2 on May 6 and May 7.

Bethlehem, Northampton County
Peregrine Falcon, 1 on May 7.

Smith Gap, Northampton County
Gray-cheeked Thrush, 1 on May 8.

Beltzville State Park, Carbon County
White-winged Scoter, 3 on May 5.
Red-breasted Merganser, 1 on May 5; 2 from May 8 to at least May 11.
Red-throated Loon, 1 on May 5; 2 on May 6.

Leaser Lake, Lehigh County
Rusty Blackbird, 1 on May 6 and May 7.

State Game Lands 157, Bucks County

Red-headed Woodpecker, 1 to at least May 9.

Gray-cheeked Thrush
Lake Towhee, Bucks County
Trumpeter Swan, 1 on May 8.
Prothonotary Warbler, 1 on May 9.

Peace Valley Park, Bucks County
Red-breasted Merganser, 1 to at least May 6; 2 on May 9.

Bald Eagles and Red-breasted Nuthatches were noted at several locations during the past week.
