Here are the Lehigh Valley bird sightings for the week ended February 27. The list was compiled by Dave DeReamus, of the Eastern PA Birdline, which is sponsored by the Lehigh Valley Audubon Society.

Portland, Northampton County

White-winged Scoter, 2 each on February 23 and February 23.

Upper Mount Bethel Township, Northampton County
Common Redpoll, 1 on February 21 at a private feeder.

Belvidere, New Jersey
Redhead, up to 9 to at least February 24.

Martins Creek PPL Power Plant, Northampton County
Canvasback, 4 on February 22 and 2 on February 23.
Redhead, 8 on February 22; 11 on February 23; and 12 on February 24.

Lower Mount Bethel Township, Northampton County
(at the Sandt's Eddy boat launch)
Barrow's Goldeneye, 1 on February 23 and February 25 (female).
Greater Scaup, 3 on February 25.
Common Goldeneye, approximately 150 on February 25.
Lapland Longspur, 1 on February 23 (along Miller Road).

Williams Township, Northampton County
Rough-legged Hawk, 1 on February 24 (light morph).
Harris's Sparrow, 1 to at least February 26.
"Gambel's" White-crowned Sparrow, 1 to at least February 26.
Also seen: Field and Savannah sparrows.

Leaser Lake, Lehigh County
Lapland Longspur, 1 on February 23 along Leaser Road.

New Tripoli, Lehigh County
Rough-legged Hawk, 1 through at least February 25 (light morph) along Bausch Road.

Allentown, Lehigh County

Canvasback, 2 to at least February 24.
Also seen: Lesser Black-backed Gull.

Redhead, 3 on February 25.
Red-breasted Merganser, 2 on February 25.

Lake Muhlenberg, Lehigh County
Redhead, 7 on February 21; 12 on February 22; 6 on February 23; and 14 on February 24.

Green Lane Reservoir, Montgomery County
Rough-legged Hawk, 1 to at least February 24 (light morph).

Peace Valley Park, Bucks County
Greater Scaup, 3 on February 20.
Redhead, 1 on February 24.

Lake Nockamixon, Bucks County
Red-shouldered Hawk (date unspecified).

Several Locations
Bald Eagles, Common Ravens and Pine Siskins.
