This week's Lehigh Valley bird sightings contain several species that have left their wintering grounds in the south and are migrating through our area on their way north to breed.
Among the migrants are the Greater and Lesser scaups, Northern Harrier, Field and Fox sparrows, and Rusty Blackbird.
The sightings for the week of March 6 were compiled by The Bird House using data derived from the online recording service, e-bird.
