"Zoos as Important Conservation Partners" will be the topic of the next monthly meeting of the Lehigh Valley Audubon Society on Friday, March 14. Rich Rosevarr will discuss the many ways that zoos are much more than a home for animals. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Wildlands Conservancy north of Emmaus. Everyone is invited. The conservancy is located on Riverbend Road, which is immediately south of the Lehigh Valley Country Club on South Cedar Crest Boulevard (Route 29).
On Sunday, March 16, Mark Boyd will lead a birding trip to search for waterfowl near Green Lane in Montgomery County. Make sure to bring binoculars and a field guide. Also, be sure to dress appropriately and wear the right footgear for the weather. For make arrangements, call 610-657-9401.
