Here are the Lehigh Valley bird sightings for the week ended March 14. The list was compiled by Dave DeReamus, of the Eastern PA Birdline, which is sponsored by the Lehigh Valley Audubon Society.

Great Cormorant, 1 (immature) on March 11; 1 (adult) on March 12.

Riverton, Northampton County
Long-tailed Duck, 4 on March 9; 3 on March 10.
White-winged Scoter, 2 on March 7.
Red-necked Grebe, 1 on March 10; 1 on March 12.
Also seen: Greater Scaup.

Martins Creek PPL Power Plant, Northampton County
(near the boat launch area)
Red-necked Grebe, 2 on March 9; 4 on March 12.
Also seen: Red-breasted and Hooded mergansers.

Sandt's Eddy, Northampton County
Red-necked Grebe, 2 on March 10 at the boat launch.

Nazareth Quarry, Northampton County
Tundra Swan, 70 fly-bys on March 10.

Easton, Northampton County

Golden Eagle, 1 on March 8.

Snowy Owl, 1 through March 11 near the airport's northeast sector.
Also seen: Northern Harrier.

Allentown, Lehigh County
Peregrine Falcon, 1 on March 10.

Walking Purchase Park, Lehigh County
Red-necked Grebe, 1 on March 8.
Canvasback, 3 on March 8.
Also seen: Red-breasted Merganser.

Green Lane Reservoir, Montgomery County
At the Church Road area
Tundra Swan, 37 on March 11.
Greater White-fronted Goose, 1 on March 10.
"Eurasian" Green-winged Teal, 1 on March 12.
Northern Pintail, 172 on March 12.
Greater Yellowlegs, 1 on March 12 (a record early date).
Also seen at Church Road: Tree Swallow.
Also seen: Red-necked Grebe, 1 on March 9 at the Knight Lake area.
Also seen: Greater Scaup and Redhead, both at the Hill Road area.

Peace Valley Park, Bucks County
Red-necked Grebe, 1 on March 11.
Iceland Gull, 1 on March 7.
Red-necked Woodpecker, 1 through March 14.
Also seen: Lesser Black-backed Gull.

Also seen at several locations this week: Bald Eagle and American Woodcock.
