Let's take a look at Lehigh Valley bird sightings for the first full week of spring. The list was provided by Dave DeReamus, of the Eastern PA Birdline, which is sponsored by the Lehigh Valley Audubon Society. The following sightings were reported to Birdline for the week ending Friday, March 29.

Red-breasted Megansers, 17 seen on March 26
8th Street Bridge, Allentown
Peregrine Falcons, 2 seen on March 23
Green Lane Reservoir, Montgomery County
Tundra Swans, 11 seen at the Church Road area on March 25
Gilbertsville area, Montgomery County
Bullock's Oriole, 1 seen on March 22 and March 28 at 108 Oberholtzer Road
Peace Valley Park, Bucks County
Red-throated Loon, 1 seen on March 28.
Iceland Gull, 1 back on March 19
Also seen: Red-breasted Merganser, Double-crested Cormorant, Bald Eagle, Red-shouldered Hawk, Lesser Black-backed Gull, Tree Swallow, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Winter Wren and Savannah Sparrow.
Osprey, Killdeer, Eastern Phoebe, Common Raven and Fox Sparrow were noted at several sites during the past week.
