Lehigh Valley bird sightings for April 26

Here are the Lehigh Valley bird sightings for the week ending April 26. The list was provided by Dave DeReamus, of the Eastern PA Birdline, which is sponsored by the Lehigh Valley Audubon Society.

Jacobsburg State Park, Northampton County
White-eyed Vireo, 1 on April 24

Nazareth Quarry, Northampton County
Snowy Egret, 1 on April 19. Also seen: Bonaparte's and Lesser Blacked-backed Gull

Williams Township, Northampton County
Rose-breasted Grosbeak, several seen on April 25

Lehigh Gap Nature Center, Carbon County
Red-breasted Nuthatch and Pine Warbler

Leaser Lake, Lehigh County
Bank Swallow and Pine Warbler

Walking Purchase Park, Lehigh County
Spotted Sandpiper and Savannah Sparrow

Springtown Hill Road, Lower Saucon Township, Northampton County
Pine Siskins, 4 on April 21

Peace Valley Park, Bucks County
Yellow-Crowned Night Heron, 1 on April 18. Also seen: Red-breasted Merganser, Bald Eagle, Lesser Black-backed Gull, Blue-headed Vireo, Cliff Swallow, Golden-crowned Kinglet and Ovenbird.

Several sites this week
Green Heron, Chimney Swift, Eastern Kingbird, Barn Swallow, Common Raven, House Wren, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Brown Thrasher, and Yellow and Black-and-white Warbler.
